The
IEEE Power Electronics Society/ Power Engineering Society Joint Students
Chapter was formed in February 15th, 2005. Essentially, all
students/faculty in Power and Energy Systems research area ( www.energy.ece.uiuc.edu ) are
members of this chapter. Research related information from all the
members will be available through this website.
This
chapter aims at facilitating/managing the following activities:
- ECE-590I Seminars
(considered as chapter meetings): Presentations related to
Power and Energy Systems by visitors (Industry/Academia) and
members. Archives from previous semesters will also be maintained.

- Research and contact
information of the alumni and group members
- Interaction between
undergraduate students and group members: An overview of all the
research projects currently pursued by the group will be presented
during the first ECE-590I meeting, each academic year.
- Tutorials and useful
weblinks: Education tutorials on Mathematica, Dymola, Cadence PCB
Design etc will be available.
