A few points about Solutions Manual access.
The Solutions Manual is protected and copyrighted information, and access to it is limited to authorized persons. If you have requested access, you should receive notification by e-mail about how to connect to the information.
If you have received notification, but are getting error messages when you try to connect, here are some troubleshooting hints:
1. Please check the obvious. Are you using the correct address, name, and password?
2. Tests have been run with Netscape versions 3 and 4, and with Internet Explorer versions 3, 4, and 5. If you have a different browser and are experiencing problems, let us know and we will try to help.
3. Some users of Windows 95 and 98 have reported that they needed to add network service for "Client for Microsoft Networks" in order for their computer to properly handle password handshaking. In other cases, other protocols or services are able to handle the login process.
4. In most cases, you will need to be sure that your browser is requesting a "domain" name along with your login and password. This domain name, which was provided to you, is needed for login. If your browser does NOT request a domain name when you attempt to log in, try to use the form
domainname\username
in place of just your username. This is a typical requirement in many Netscape versions.
